Classroom Lesson’s and Activities Summery

December is the month to learn about the holidays! Children will be introduced to themes surrounding Christmas and other seasonal celebrations. More specifically, preschoolers will discuss the varying traditions of each holiday, along with creating decorations, singing fun songs, and participating in read aloud to gain more information about the celebrations and promote discussion among students! Our children will keep practicing numbers, letters, and shapes by tracing it. Open and honest communication is the key to a successful preschool experience for children and their parents. Our friendly staff will help with every step of transition to ensure happiness and safety of the children. Our center and staff are continuously improving, our goal is to provide the best care for the little ones, help our children feel confident and comfortable in relating needs and feelings to others and to have positive self-esteem. We use positive reinforcement in all aspects of our Montessori program.

This is just one of the many reasons why I am thankful for this wonderful Montessori philosophy and its methods. The child is not just pouring the water using two pitchers; the child is learning to focus, learning to practice the whole hand movements form left to right for next reading and writing. Also, the child is learning to be independent by concentrating on the work he or she has chosen, the child is practicing order by putting the lesson back to its place, the child is learning eye-hand coordination,  at the same time he or she is enjoying what they are doing without any external pressure. All the lessons in a Montessori classroom have a valuable reason to help the child’s development need. In our classrooms the practical life area one of the most important area for our kids they did learn a lot. Montessori program is quite different from what you would find in traditional schools. In our both classroom the materials are carefully prepared to accomplish the following purposes, small motor control and eye-hand coordination a sense of order and development of organization skills, independence, and self-confidence. We did teach our children how to use practical life materials for example how to pour water without spilling, dressing, washing hands, simple food preparation, putting away materials when finished, matching colors, sorting by shapes and sizes. We did add Sensorial, math and language area also in Ms. Gayane and Ms. Angineh classroom. We will keep practicing our Montessori materials and we will do a lot of arts and crafts.
