Potty Training
Learning Stars accepts all children 2 years old of age and over into our programs, regardless of whether they have been fully potty trained and have transitioned into “pull ups“ or regular underwear. Parents or legal guardians are asked to continue everyday training at home in order to promote successful transition. A child is considered fully potty trained when he/she have been in pull ups for a week and accident free. During training process children need to be in comfortable clothing in order to promote independence. Various websites offer parents tools/tips in how to proceed with potty training. Some of the websites for potty training we suggest are; www.mayoclinic.com/, parenting.com/, www.askdrsears.com/, www.childcare.about.com, www.pull-ups.com. It is the parents’ or legal guardians’ responsibility to provide and maintain weekly supplies for their child (ren), such as diapers, wipes, etc. (These websites are just suggestion, parents are encouraged to do their own research and modify approach as needed based on their child’s need)
