I want to extend a warm welcome to all of our new and returning families. I am so excited to serve you and your child this upcoming year as the preschool director!
Welcome back to another wonderful year here at Montessori Beginnings School! How do we know it’s going to be wonderful? Because you and your child are here! We have also begun to settle into our routines and welcome new and old friends!
Now it is back to work for the children. September is an exciting time, children are moving to new classrooms and teachers are planning fun activities for the month of September . We will be spending the month of September focusing on family, friends, learning all about the classroom environment and most of all becoming comfortable in the classroom setting. We are going to learn more about Montessori materials.
Materials will be added and rotated as the year goes on. Keeping the materials interesting and challenging for each child is our goal.
Practical life exercises teach the child basic living skills such as hand washing, vegetable preparation, pouring.
*Scooping large buttons from one bowl to another.
*Washing a fire truck work
*Pouring water and milk during meal times
*Stacking wooden ring work
* Posting work/ color work
* Pincer grasp transfer work
* Building blocks
** Water table fun – preschoolers and water go together, so don’t be surprised if your child has a bag of wet clothes at the end of the day! This is a wonderful tactile experience for children and they can practice many skills including
- Once again, thank you for choosing Learning Stars Preschool for your children. We are blessed to spend our days and times with them, guiding and supporting their social and cognitive skill development. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to call or set up a conference with me. I or your child’s primary teacher is available to meet any time Monday thru Friday between 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
- You will receive a monthly newsletter from me at the end of every month to provide communication on important information for the following month. This newsletter will be posted to each classroom and our Learning Stars WEB.
I would like to say thank you to all of our teachers who worked hard to organize and prepare a great and friendly environment for your kids to help them have a smooth and exciting beginning of the school year.
